Houston Family Photography: Full Service Photographer…
So much has changed in the world of photography over the last decade, mostly due to the fact that owning a digital camera is now virtually affordable to just about anyone. Walk into Best Buy and you can leave with pretty decent gear, and without breaking the bank. As a result, virtually anyone can call themselves a photographer. The current photography market ranges from students and hobbyists through to mall chains, all the way to full service and boutique photographers like myself who offer styled sessions and printed images. So how do you know where to start? How do you know if full service photography is right for you?
Ask yourself these critical questions…
What do I really want from my session?
Do I even know where to begin?
What do I want to do with my images and how will I display them?
What value do I give to printed images and artwork?
If you said, “I want to capture memories that I can look back on years from now. I really value my photos and enjoy printed images that I can display in my home and relive each time I see them, but I’m not sure how to get the ball rolling.” then a full service photographer is the right fit for you. And that’s where our story begins…
So what is full service photography?…
Full service photography is so much more than just photographing your session and offering prints. It starts with really getting to know you and your photography needs. I meet with each of my clients for an In-Person Consultation over coffee. Each session is unique, just like you. I take the time to help style and plan your session so that I can create the images you’ve always wanted. Planning = success. This includes helping you with color themes in your home, deciding what to wear and selecting the perfect location for your shoot.
Full service photography means connecting with you during your session. I never rush my clients. Unhappy adults and grumpy kids = terrible photos. I work to connect with each individual I photograph. Spending extra time getting to know you and helping you feel comfortable in front of the camera is one of my unique gifts, particularly with kids. I don’t just photograph your likeness, I capture who you truly are.
Full service photography means meticulously and professionally-editing your session. My job doesn’t stop at the end of your session. As an artist, my creative eye and ability to see things others can not, transcends into my culling and editing process. I am able to further enhance and breathe light and life into your images. I aim for excellence in every image I deliver.
Full service photography also means holding your hand after your session. Instead of handing you a disk and waving good-bye, my job is still only half done. After editing your session, I meet with you in the comfort of your own home or my studio to reveal your beautiful images and guide you through your selection process. Helping you develop a plan for your images before your session ensures that your Reveal & Ordering Session will be the exciting moment you’ll see your images for the first time and select your display options.
Full service photography means no high-pressure sales. There is no obligation to purchase… you only invest in the images and display options you love. Some clients spend $800 and some send $5,000. But what you purchase is entirely up to you. And you won’t make that final decision until you are looking at your beautiful photos.
Full service photography also means hand-delivering your images. After your favorite prints, albums, canvases and folio boxes have been created, I hand-deliver your beautiful products to you. I will even help you hang your prints and canvases in your chosen arrangement style to compliment your home. I believe the best service is taking you from soup to nuts, from discussing your vision to actually fulfilling it through beautiful images displayed on your walls.
