Terms & Conditions

These policies protect your images, your investment, and your time. They keep our calendar on schedule so every client receives the same level of care and on-time delivery. If you have questions, we’re happy to walk through them with you.

All images created by Angi Lewis Studios are protected under United States Copyright Law (Title 17, U.S. Code), unless otherwise agreed in writing. Angi Lewis Studios may use images from your session for portfolio, website, social media, and marketing purposes. Clients who prefer their images not be used may opt out in writing before or at the Reveal & Ordering Appointment.

Portrait Clients:

Angi Lewis Studios retains full copyright ownership of all images. The Client is granted a personal-use license to display, print, and share the images for non-commercial purposes (e.g., personal printing, social media sharing with attribution, family keepsakes). Commercial use is strictly prohibited unless explicitly licensed. If a portrait client wishes to use any image for commercial, promotional, advertising, or editorial purposes (e.g., publishing in a magazine, using in a business context), a separate commercial usage license must be obtained from Angi Lewis Studios. Usage without proper licensing is a violation of copyright law.

 

Headshot & Personal Branding Clients (Professional Use License):

For commissioned headshots or branding imagery intended for business or promotional use, Angi Lewis Studios retains copyright ownership and grants the Client (or commissioning party) a Professional Use License. Headshot and personal branding clients may use the purchased images across digital and print platforms for professional and promotional purposes, including but not limited to:

• Website bios

• Social media profiles

• Marketing materials (including print and digital)

• Press kits

• Speaking engagements

Note: This license is non-transferable and does not permit resale (e.g, as stock photos) or third-party commercial distribution or use without written permission from Angi Lewis Studios.

 

Images and Video 

All behind-the-scenes photographs and video content taken by Angi Lewis Studios are the intellectual property of the studio and protected by US copyright law.

 

Session Fee

A non-refundable session fee is required to reserve your session date and time. The session fee secures the date and time on our studio calendar and includes pre-session planning, team and studio prep. Because we reserve this time exclusively for you and decline other clients for the same date and time, the session fee is non-refundable.

If a session must be postponed due to severe weather, an emergency, or illness on the part of Angi Lewis Studios, the session will be rescheduled at no charge and the session fee carries over to the new date.

If a client needs to reschedule for any other reason, including illness, the session fee carries over to the new date. However, reschedules requested within 48 hours of the session date will incur a $250 rescheduling fee. Angi Lewis Studios may waive this fee at its discretion.

The session fee covers the time and talent of Angi Lewis Studios and does not include images unless explicitly stated.

Late Arrival

Arriving more than 20 minutes late for a Headshot or Portrait Mini Session, or more than 30 minutes late for a Custom Session, will result in a rescheduled session and the $250 rescheduling fee.

Reveal & Ordering Appointment

Image purchases, products, and collections are sold separately during the Reveal & Ordering Appointment.

Non-edited images are presented at the Reveal & Ordering Appointment. Image selections are made together (either in studio or via Zoom) with Angi Lewis Studios and client. We do not offer online galleries. All decision-makers must be present at the Reveal & Ordering Appointment, whether in person or via Zoom. 

For Headshot and Portrait Mini Sessions, we conduct a same-day Reveal & Ordering Appointment immediately following the photoshoot.

For Branding, Celebrity for a Day and Corporate/Enterprise Sessions, the Reveal & Ordering Appointment is scheduled at the completion of the photoshoot and takes place within 1 to 5 days of the session date. Rescheduled appointments must take place within 14 days of the photoshoot. Corporate/Enterprise timelines may follow a separate written agreement.

If the appointment is missed, or not rescheduled within 14 days of your session date, the studio will make three attempts to reach you by email, text, or phone. If we are unable to confirm a new appointment within that 14-day window, the Reveal & Ordering Appointment is forfeited, along with any session credit.

All images from your session will then be purged 30 days after your session date. You will receive a final written notice at least 7 days before your images are purged. Once purged, images cannot be recovered and the session cannot be refunded.

Limitation of Liability

In the unlikely event that images are lost or damaged due to equipment failure, file corruption, or circumstances beyond our control, the liability of Angi Lewis Studios is limited to a refund of fees paid for the affected session or products.

Retouching

All purchased images include Angi Lewis Studios’ style and level of professional retouching.

Any retouching or editing revisions must be requested within 7 calendar days of receiving final images. This policy ensures timely delivery and finalization of the session and allows us to maintain an efficient editing workflow for all clients.

Additional retouching requests beyond standard enhancements may incur extra fees.

Clients may not edit, filter, or alter images in a way that compromises the artistic integrity of Angi Lewis Studios’ work.

AI and Filters

The use of any image created by Angi Lewis Studios in AI image generators or machine-learning datasets is strictly prohibited unless explicitly licensed for such use in writing.

Image Delivery

Digital images are delivered within the agreed-upon timeline via Google Drive digital download. Angi Lewis Studios does not release RAW or unedited files under any circumstances.

When sharing images online or in digital media, credit to Angi Lewis Studios (or @angilewisstudios) is appreciated but not required unless specified in a commercial license agreement.

Payment for collections and products is due in full at the Reveal & Ordering Appointment. Payment plans are available through Afterpay, subject to Afterpay approval and spending limits. When you pay through Afterpay, the studio is paid in full at checkout and your installment plan is managed by Afterpay.

Sales and Non-Purchased Images

Due to the custom nature of photography, all sales are final. No refunds will be given for digital image files or printed products once they have been delivered. We stand behind the quality of our work and will address any concerns brought promptly to our attention.

Non-purchased images are purged 30 days after the Reveal & Ordering Appointment, or 30 days after the session date if the Reveal & Ordering Appointment is not completed within 14 days of the session, whichever comes first.

Angi Lewis Studios is not obligated to retain or archive any purchased images beyond final delivery. However, as a courtesy, purchased images will be archived for up to one (1) year via Google Drive. This complimentary archive is subject to the terms and availability of Google Drive services and is not guaranteed. It remains the client’s sole responsibility to download and securely store all purchased files upon receipt.

 

Studio Wardrobe

Clients are responsible for the cost of repairing or replacing studio wardrobe items that are damaged, lost, or not returned.

 

Clients Under 18

Clients under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present and that parent or guardian must agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Angi Lewis Studios reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
